| Misadventures of Paranormal Investigators By Beverly Rearick |
|
I’m going to veer off from my usual type of articles and tell a tale of a recent event which happened to myself and a few fellow ghost investigators.
Our group hasn’t really been active and with Halloween approaching, myself and some friends were itching to do some investigating. After a few back and forth conversation, we decided to check out a local church which had been reported haunted. From everything we knew and from previous visits, we knew the church and cemetery was off limits, but the grounds around it (which is suppose to be the haunted area) was okay to be on.
We started the night...

The night of my first investigation, my adrenaline was pumping. You know the feeling.
Couldn’t wait to try all the things you have learned. Maybe feel a cold spot or even see a ghost. I sat through six weeks of classes where I listened to a group of people discuss all the adventures during other investigations. Now it was my turn. By the end of the night, disappointment settled in. Don’t get me wrong, the investigation turned out to be everything I expected. And we got plenty of orb pictures, but any respect I did have disappeared completely.
Before I took the ghost hunting class, I heard a huge amount of information about the group. I believed these people were expert ghost hunters. They were teaching classes to people.
